Thanks to its high organic content, sewage sludge is ideally suited for use as an energy resource. Did you know that dried sewage sludge has a calorific value comparable to lignite? The drying process also reduces the volume of the sludge, which not only leads to considerable savings in transport costs and CO₂ emissions, but also significantly reduces disposal costs.
