In contrast to sewage sludge humification, the end product of the StorageDryer system is dried throughout, making it a versatile fuel that contains no rhizomes or other foreign matter. The low levels of moisture residue in dried sludge and its greatly reduced volume ensure certainty in terms of both costs and disposal.
What makes both processes stand out is that they are based on continuous plant operation, which involves little working time. Compared to sewage sludge humification, however, the StorageDryer requires considerably less space. The StorageDryer is powered by solar energy – free of charge. Sustainability and eco-friendliness are the two exemplary pillars of this process.
